At Liqisis, we solve winery problems. Our products take the drudgery out of common tasks so you can focus on your winemaking, brewing, distilling. We’ve developed solutions for issues we have come across in our many combined years of experience, but we don’t just look to fix the problem, we look to make things work even better.

VC Pressure Maintenance

Variable Capacity tanks are notoriously prone to loss of pressure in the sealing ring. Our system continuously manages seal pressures in up to 5 tanks.

Automatically inflate

Instead of pumping and fiddling with the valve on the pump to pump without letting all the air out, just connect the tank to the supply line and it will be up to pressure within 30 seconds. To deflate, just disconnect. Tanks can also be disconnected without deflation.

Leak warning

The seals are easy to damage, so our system monitors inflation time as a leak check. If it takes longer than 30 seconds, it will start a warning. If the compressor is running for longer than 5 minutes then it automatically switches off for safety. In either case, an alarm buzzer and flashing light let you know something is wrong. Also, the design of the system prevents the other tanks from losing pressure if there is a leak in one tank.

Ullage Management (DoUG)

Any tank on ullage is prone to oxidation unless the headspace is regularly gassed. Most wineries rely on manual processes (cellar hands moving from tank to tank with buckets of dry ice or gas dispersers. DoUG (Dispenser of Ullage Gas) automates this, periodically dosing the headspace with just enough inert gas to exclude oxygen from the surface of the wine.

Cost-effective use of gas

Dry ice is both costly and ineffective over the long term. Even regular dosing with gas dispersers is labour-intensive and often short-term in its protection while simultaneously over-using gas. Our system uses just the right amount of gas, and requires no labour after setup.

Central monitoring

Connect the system to a winery’s WiFi network and the winemaker can monitor tanks from anywhere in the winery. Settings such the amount of gas and frequency of dosing can also be changed.

ElectroMOx

ElectroMOx uses a novel approach to micro-oxygenation. Instead of having to run gas lines and monitor oxygen bottles, the specially-fabricated titanium-platinum electrodes precisely generate the required quantity of oxygen using the water in the wine itself. Simply plug the system in and install the electrode in the tank, cask, vat, barrel.

Precisely-engineered electrodes

The unique fabrication process results in an electrode that generates oxygen right where it is needed, in tiny bubbles that are effectively absorbed by the wine, and without the sanitation risks of sinters. There are different sizes of electrodes so micro-ox can be carried out in a vessel as small as a barrel, or in a tank of up to 15kL (larger tanks can also be accommodated on request).

Central control

Connect ElectroMOx to your winery’s WiFi network and monitor and adjust mox rates from anywhere in the winery.
